When God...

"When God..." is trending online.... The "When God" might be followed by "Has a plan", "is for you", or "When God created woman it was good."

Today, as we head into Easter week, I am lead to speak about the most important "When God" moment in the bible. Even if you don't go to church or read the bible you most likely know this verse. You have likely have seen it before. Maybe on Tim Tebow’s face, on a t-shirt, or maybe a tattoo. What makes people want to put this particular bible verse somewhere for all the world to see?

John 3:16 “God so loved the world that He gave His one and only son, that whoever believes in Him shall not parish but have Eternal Life.”

When I thought about sharing this verse with you I felt unqualified. I even looked up the verse to make sure I did not mess it up. Here is what I do know, God loves you so much and you are so valuable to Him. God paid a very high price for you and for me. Our sins separate us from God and He sent His son to bridge that gap for us. When I accepted Christ into my heart He changed my life. He opened my eyes to the life I had and showed me His best for me. I was living in a verbally abusive marriage and I felt that I had lost my voice. I found that God wants to give hope to the hopeless. You can live free from brokenness, the things that bind you, and self-doubt. You can walk in confidence and boldness as the amazing Child of God that you are.

God has a free gift of salvation for you. All you have to do is accept it in prayer. You can pray right now, right where you are. Pray to yourself the prayer below and the bible says you will be saved. The words are not the most important part, it is what is in your heart. We are all sinners and fall short of the Glory of God, but we are forgiven.

“Dear God, I know that I am a sinner in need of a Savior. Please forgive me. I want to turn from that life and look towards you. I believe you sent your Son Jesus Christ to die for my sins on the cross and I believe He rose on the third day. I ask Jesus to come into my heart. Thank you Jesus for your Grace. Please fill me with the Holy Spirit.”

If you prayed this prayer click below. I would love to talk to you about the amazing decision you just made.

I would be happy to answer any question you might have or celebrate with you if you prayed this prayer for the first time or recommitted your life to Christ. God has amazing plans for you! When God is for you no one can be against you.
