Rose Colored Glasses

I have been told that I see the world through “rose colored glasses”, like maybe a little too optimistic, and maybe I do. I always try to see the best in all situations and people. Even as we walked through 2020, and let’s face it, 2021, I am always trying to see the things that I can be thankful for. This is what gets me through the day, and also what might be annoying to others.
When you are going through things like a job loss. divorce, or suddenly home schooling your kids, hearing things like “Gods got this” is not that helpful in the moment. I do understand hard things. When I was walking through divorce, a job lay off, or Richard’s cancer diagnosis, I felt all of it. There have been times that I wanted to quit, whatever that meant at the time. What I appreciated most were times that my friends that would just sit with me, listen, and maybe cry with me. But then…I appreciated someone pointing me back to God and His goodness. When they would show me God’s perspective.
In the midst of your struggle, you are not alone. In your pain God is still working, even when you cannot see it. I am always praying for God’s perspective. I believe with all my heart that God has His best for us. Even when things don’t make sense, I focus on God and stay in His word. Why? Because if I don’t, I lose my mind. It is when we try to do things on our own strength that anxiety can come.
Here is what I know for sure, Gods plans, and His ways, are always better than my own. Just because I can see a good outcome does not mean it is the best one. I want to encourage you to keep your hopes up! Ask God to show you His perspective. It is true; “Gods got this!”
My prayer for you is that He will give you an outlook today that is a little bit “Rosy”.
